It’s January, and that means it's time for New York City Drag personality Witti Repartee’s annual Broads and Bawds Cabaret!   This year’s edition (the 5th!) is “Put It In Your Mouth! Songs about Food and Drink” and will be her first presentation at The Triad Theatre on West 72nd Street on January 20th, 2018.

“After the holidays, we’re all too familiar with putting things in our mouth, so I’m very excited to share with you some of my friends and THEIR ideas on the subject!” said Witti in a recent interview.

Co-hosted by drag neophyte Dina Studintz, and with musical direction by John McMahon, this year’s show has an exciting mix of performers, including recording artist and Queen of the Bears Candy Samples, the fierce and funny Ruby Powers, cabaret artist Robin Kradles, former Miss Gay Indiana Cassidy Fellows-Sommers and from the cast of last season’s “New York’s Next Top Drag Queen,” Celah Doore.  Vocalist Edwin Davis joins the company this year as well as The Brides of Burlesque, Faux Pas Le Fae and Aurora North.  Special Guest Scarlette Fiore, who appeared briefly in New York City last October, returns from her native Costa Rica to join this special show.

Witti Repartee’s Broads and Bawds 5: Put It In Your Mouth! is produced under the aegis of  Kaleidoscope Collaborations, with co-founder Nick DiCeglie.  Kaleidoscope Collaborations connects passionate artists and volunteers with progressive causes for the purpose of using their talents to raise awareness, build relationships and provide resources for non-profit organizations working to improve the lives of our neighbors and communities.  All proceeds will benefit Iris House, a 25 year old organization founded to meet the needs of women and families impacted by HIV/AIDS in Harlem and the South Bronx.

A gorgeous piece of jewelry has been created and donated by MOANS Couture jewelry will be the focus of a progressive auction.

“Look,” remarked Witti Repartee, “Last year, January 20th was a terrible day, and it’s time to do something fun and fabulous on the one year anniversary of that inaugural tragedy…P. S., Save the Date for my annual 39th Birthday: Songs in the Key of Orange: Protest and Revolution, July 21 at Rockbar!”

NYC DRAG PERSONALITY WITTI REPARTEE THROWS HER
FIFTH ANNUAL 39TH BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION
TO BENEFIT CYCLE FOR THE CAUSE

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
June 17, 2016
Press Contact:  Michael Barret Jones
MsWittiR@aol.com, 646-206-6360

Following on the heels of last January’s fundraiser for Iris House, Witti Repartee’s Broads, Bawds and Bachelorettes 3, New York City’s hardest working philanthropist drag queen announces Witti Repartee’s 5th Annual 39th Birthday Celebration: There’s No Cure Like Travel, a benefit for Cycle for the Cause, to be held at Rockbar (185 Christopher Street) on July 16, 2016.

“I threw a 39th Birthday Party for myself in Cherry Grove as a fundraising lark,” said Repartee recently.  “Well, that lark had wings, and as long as we keep raising money for charity, I’ll keep doing as RuPaul says and ‘Bring Back My Girls!’”  2015’s 4th Annual 39th Birthday Party raised more than $3,600 for Cycle for the Cause.

This year’s show is co-hosted by Will Clark, a 20 veteran of the erotic entertainment industry, who has appeared in 48 XXX films, produced 10 Bad Boys Pool Parties, 144 nights of "Cocktails with the Stars", 457 editions of "The Will Clark Show feat. P*rno Bingo" as well as hundreds of other events raising funds for LGBT charities.

The 2016 Edition will feature performances from some of Witti’s favorite New York performers, including drag legend-to-be Big Ang of Monaco; dancer extraordinaire Detoxx Busti-ae; Aussie singer-songwriter and pooch lover Kylie Edmond; real girl singer Paula Galloway; winner of the Metropolitan Room’s “New York’s Next Top Drag Queen” 2016, Shirley U. Jest; Brooklyn’s shapeshifting chanteuse Louvel, the temptress Farrah Moans, nightlife personality and host Tym Moss, NYC’s modern day Auntie Mame Ruby Powers and Witti’s drag granddaughter and Brooklyn favorite Daphne Sumtimez.  Special guests include legendary Richmond, Virginia hostess Natasha Carrington, international sensation Reann Ballslee and 2014’s Queen of the Bag Ladies, Indianapolis favorite Cassidy Fellows-Sommers.

Witti Repartee’s 5th Annual 39th Birthday Celebration: There’s No Cure Like Travel is produced under the aegis of  Kaleidoscope Collaborations, which connects passionate artists and volunteers with progressive causes for the purpose of using their talents to raise awareness, build relationships and provide resources for non-profit organizations working to improve the lives of our neighbors and communities.  All proceeds will benefit Cycle For the Cause, the Boston to New York AIDS ride supporting the HIV Services programs at New York’s LGBT Community Services Center.

The event will feature a fabulous silent auction including travel, fashion and the “Lost Luggage” of many of the evening’s performers.  A stunning brooch in the design of an ocean liner, donated by Robert Sorrell of Sorrell Originals, will be the centerpiece of a progressive auction.

“Look,” remarked Witti Repartee, “Pride’s over, so we need something to celebrate, and the fact that I’ve got more wrinkles than I did last year means that I’ve got one more year of life in me, and one less to go.  Who doesn’t want to drink to that?”

There is a suggested donation of $10 for Witti Repartee’s 5th Annual 39th Birthday Celebration: There’s No Cure Like Travel, and all performers are donating their tips to the beneficiary.

NYC DRAG PERSONALITY WITTI REPARTEE RETURNS TO THE METROPOLITAN ROOM WITH
BROADS, BAWDS and BACHELORETTES 3!

Following on the heels of her latest fundraiser, Witti Repartee’s 4th Annual 39th Birthday: Life, The Universe and Everything, New York City’s hardest working philanthropist drag queen announces Witti Repartee’s Broads, Bawds and Bachelorettes 3, a benefit at the legendary Metropolitan Room on January 9, 2016.

“What started as my actual bachelorette party in 2014 was such a hit the second time around, we’re coming back for thirds!” said Repartee when asked if New York needs more Broads and Bawds.  “With such hubbub about desnudas in Times Square over the summer, New York City needs more old fashioned sass, and we’re giving it to them!”

Co-hosted by Ms. Ermine Muff, the socialite and reformed debutante (best known as the spouse of the late billionaire furrier, Mr. Eaton Muff, whose famous ad campaign, "Pass the cold Connecticut winters by slipping into an Eaton Muff... Eaton Muff Furriers of Bridgeport," is known globally), this year’s edition of Witti Repartee’s Broads, Bawds and Bachelorettes 3 will feature performances by several old favorites, as well as a few new additions to Repartee’s growing stable of girls and boys gone wild.

The 2016 Edition will feature performances by Broadway World Award Nominee Dorothy Bishop (“The Dozen Divas Show”); legendary Richmond, VA drag star and #DudeInADress Natasha Carrington; cabaret favorite La Diva; stunning newcomer Ellia J. Garlands; Robin Kradles (“The Diva Selections” at Don’t Tell Mama); co-creator and host of “Wigsticks,”  Steady Mess; NYC's modern-day Auntie Mame and Miss Symphony Space 2015 Ruby Powers; Award winning singing actor from Broadway's The Threepenny Opera and the upcoming The UnCivil War Brian Charles Rooney (“Bedbugs! The Musical); the Queen of the Bears, singer/songwriter Candy Samples; Brooklyn’s Shape Shifting Chanteuse Louvel; and other surprise guests!

Witti Repartee’s Broads, Bawds and Bachelorettes 3 is produced under the aegis of  Kaleidoscope Collaborations, which connects passionate artists and volunteers with progressive causes for the purpose of using their talents to raise awareness, build relationships and provide resources for non-profit organizations working to improve the lives of our neighbors and communities.  All proceeds will benefit Iris House, a 23 year old organization founded to meet the needs of women and families impacted by HIV/AIDS in Harlem and the South Bronx.

A gorgeous art deco pendant necklace in black, crystal and lapis created and donated by MOANS Couture jewelry will be the focus of a progressive auction.

“Look,” remarked Witti Repartee, “It’s the dead of winter.  The holidays are over.  Everything is grey…except the hot, funny and celebratory parade of spectacles that we’ve got for you at the Metropolitan Room!”

Tickets for Witti Repartee’s Broads, Bawds and Bachelorettes 3 are $25 and there is a two drink minimum at the Metropolitan Room.  They are available online at http://wrbbb3.brownpapertickets.com.
